In 2019 the Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd and long-standing customer Autocare have expanded Autocare’s finished vehicle logistics services to the Port West estate, where more jobs and cost efficiencies will be realised for Australia’s automotive industry.
Part of LINX Cargo Care Group, Autocare has leased the 100,000m2 property from the Port of Brisbane, plus a further 50,000m2 to cater for future growth, under a 10-year agreement that will complement its current facilities across the water on Fisherman Islands.
The new storage facility will enable Autocare to process an additional 5,500 motor vehicles per annum close to the wharf, which will reduce storage costs, create local jobs and improve delivery times to dealerships.
